On March 23rd, both High School, “Ljupcho Santov” and Primary School, “Rade Kratovche” gathered to pay respect to their patrons. Each school first held a separate ceremony on its grounds, and later joined together with Mayor Vladko Grozdanov at the Revolution Park. Both schools, along with the municipal delegations, laid fresh flowers and paid tribute to the fighters who lost their lives fighting against the anti-fascist struggle in 1944.

This event served as a reminder of the tragic incident that took place nearly 80 years ago in the Osogovo Mountains when both Ljupco Santov and Rade Kratovce lost their lives fighting for freedom

Students from Primary School ‘Rade Kratovche’ paid a special tribute to young members Petar Ivanovski and Dragana Minova, after whom the school’s sports and youth clubs are named. Both tragically lost their lives in the “Pulse” incident, and their parents are teachers at the school, making the tribute especially personal.

During a heartfelt cultural program, students from “Ljupcho Santov” High School shared poems and songs that spoke of patriotism and the importance of keeping historical memory alive. The event was also marked by a touching tribute to classmates and friends who tragically passed away a year ago, reminding the audience of their lasting memory in the school community.
