The Red Cross Competition - Ljupcho Santov Takes The Win!

On April 30th, students gathered at Sašo Lazarov Čapo Sports Hall, for a Red Cross event. The event focused on improving their first aid knowledge, teamwork, and humanitarian skills. This event was important because it brought people together in a community by showing that young people can make change..

The competition included circular training stations, simulated injury cases, dissemination activities, and fun educational games. During the day, students demonstrated how to provide first aid in emergency situations. One of the main activities was helping injured “patients” in realistic accident simulations. Many students participated by working together, solving problems quickly, and showing their medical knowledge.. The event showed that students in Kocani care about others, and are willing to help others in the community.

Eight teams from primary and secondary schools participated in the youth, junior, and dissemination categories. First place in the youth category was won by the team from SOU Ljupčo Santov – Kočani.

Students, teachers, and organizers all worked hard to make the event successful and educational. Throughout the competition, participants supported one another and demonstrated strong communication and leadership skills. The event also gave students the opportunity to practice staying calm under pressure while helping others in emergency situations.

This event was important because it encouraged students to learn lifesaving skills and help others in difficult situations. Many students said the experience made them feel more confident and responsible. The event showed that young people are ready to support their community and work together during emergencies.

The winning youth team from SOU Ljupčo Santov – Kočani will represent the Municipal Organization of the Red Cross, Kočani at the Regional First Aid Competition in Skopje.
