Book Recommendation: No Excuses!: The Power Of Self-Discipline By Brian Tracy

No Excuses!: The Power of Self-Discipline by Brian Tracy describes how to achieve success through self-discipline, consistency and determination. The book starts off with Brian Tracy explaining that many people say that they are going to do something “someday” but that day never comes, and they try to make some excuses, but the first step towards success is to stop saying “one day”. According to Tracy, most people already know what they need to do to improve their lives. They must set goals, work hard, stay focused, keep learning, save money and exercise. However, many fail because they lack the discipline to follow through consistently. Tracy does not focus on motivation alone; instead, he emphasizes building habits and mental toughness. He argues that success is predictable and not mysterious. If you identify what successful people do and discipline yourself to do the same actions repeatedly, results will follow. Over time, disciplined actions compound into confidence, competence, independence.
