Little women (2019)


Little Women is a story that follows the lives of four sisters as they grow up, face challenges, and discover who they want to become. Set during the Civil War era, the story explores themes of family, independence, love, and ambition, showing how each sister navigates her own path in life. The film is based on the classic novel Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, which has been widely read and adapted for generations.


The director of Little Women, Greta Gerwig is well known to the movie industry. Before Little Women, she gained massive acclaim for her solo directorial debut, Lady Bird (2017), a coming-of-age story about a high school girl and her mother. After Little Women, she went on to direct the global phenomenon Barbie (2023), which broke records as the highest-grossing film ever directed by a woman.
